As the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections approach, the Shiv Sena has released a new list of 15 candidates, highlighting its strategy under Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Among the notable names is Shaina NC, a prominent BJP leader, who will contest from the Mumbadevi constituency in Mumbai. This decision comes after she initially sought the Worli seat, which ultimately went to Milind Deora, a Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha MP and former Congress member​.

The Mahayuti alliance has made significant progress in candidate selection, announcing contenders for 279 of the 288 assembly seats. This coalition includes a mix of candidates from Shiv Sena, BJP, and smaller parties, aiming to solidify their presence across the state​
